GRAHAM GALLERY Oils
Jacob Maris

Jacob Maris (1837-99) was a Dutch painter who lived in The Hague but exhibited widely in Britain including at the Royal Academy, the Fine Art Society, the Goupil Gallery, the Royal Scottish Academy, the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts and the Royal Society of Artists (Birmingham).

This small oil is in its original attractive frame, and despite its size shows a remarkably sure touch and a great deal of interesting detail.
