GRAHAM GALLERY Watercolours
Edward Hickling

Edward Hickling (1913-98) studied at the Nottingham School of Art and privately under Arthur Spooner. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, the Royal Water-colour Society and the Royal Society of British Artists.

Those who know Durgan Cove say the picture captures the essence of this peaceful and beautiful place. Hickling's style is very much of the 30s and there is a little of William Russell Flint in the figures, colurs and composition ... but not the price!
