 The artist exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Sciety of British Artists and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters from 1897 to 1938 and lived in Boscombe, Hampshire and in Cheltenham. He was known for his marine, coastal and landscape scenes and visited Norway.
The picture is inscribed "The Romsdal" on the reverse and was probably painted circa 1910; it comes in its original ornate frame. |
