Harry Sutton Palmer (1854-1933) was born in Plymouth, studied art in Kensington and exhibited many works at the Royal Academy, the Fine Art Society, the Royal Society of British Artists, Leicester Gallery and Dowdeswell galleries. His subjects were mainly landscapes in Surrey, Berkshire, the Lake District and Scotland.
This picture is typical of his traditional and highly accomplshed style, and other examples can be seen in museums and private collections. |
