In our opinion Hammond is one of the best contemporary artists painting in the traditional style. He has had many exhibitions with Chris Beetles and they always do exceptionally well. He travels extensively to India, Morocco, New York and Europe and his pictures never fail to capture the atmosphere, the colours and the detail. This picture was painted in 1997, and was exhibited at Chris Beetles' Gallery in London. (We also have scenes of Marrakech and Beccles, Suffolk by the same artist.) |
